We Have Litigated Countless Legal Malpractice cases

Finding a lawyer can be challenging, particularly when pursuing a legal malpractice claim against an attorney. Many law firms are hesitant to sue fellow lawyers, especially those practicing locally, due to professional relationships and reputations. This reluctance often forces clients to seek representation from firms across state lines, like ours, which handles cases all over the United States.  If we are not licensed to practice law in your specific state, we will associate with a local attorney at no additional cost or expense to the client.  We understand the complexities and discomfort of such cases, but we recognize that lawyers, like any professionals, must be held accountable for their mistakes and it is usually only an “out of town” lawyer willing to help take on these cases.  Legal malpractice claims can be difficult to prove, requiring a detailed assessment of both the attorney’s errors and the resulting damages.

Despite an aggressive defense by Williams & Connelly, P.A. of Washington, D.C., FMT ultimately settled for $19 million on behalf of the nationwide class.

  • $23 Million Settlement

    Class Action Defective Product

This class action case involved the “solid surface veneer” (SSV) kitchen countertop designed and distributed by Wilsonart International. Despite knowing through pre-market testing that SSV was defective and unsuitable, Wilsonart blamed the product’s issues on independent installers. Following extensive discovery and litigation, a $23 million settlement was achieved on behalf of the nationwide class.

  • $21 Million Settlement

    Federal Express Corp Lawsuit

This class action case involved Federal Express overcharging a $3.50 residential surcharge for deliveries to commercial addresses, affecting clients, including law firms sending packages to U.S. governmental agencies. Despite complaints, FedEx dismissed refund requests. After investigating and reviewing over 100,000 documents, evidence showed internal criticism of the surcharges. A $21 million settlement was reached on behalf of a nationwide class, with FedEx agreeing to change its surcharge determination process.
